Dirt Cup Treats

In celebration of Earth Day coming up on April 22, the kids wanted to make these tasty dirt cup treats.  My kids have made these before (both in separate classes they’ve attended) and they love it!  It’s an easy treat to make and it only took us about 15 minutes to put these together.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (5.9 oz) of instant chocolate pudding JELL-O
  • Milk
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies (we used Oreos)
  • Gummy worms
  • Small cups

Directions:

Pour instant chocolate pudding JELL-O into your bowl.

Then add 3 cups of cold milk.

Stir and incorporate the ingredients well for 2 minutes.  (We used the 5 minute pudding directions, so there was no need to refrigerate).

Then pour chocolate pudding (mud) into cups.

We put a few chocolate sandwich cookies into a zip-lock bag and crushed them with our hands.

After crushing the cookies (dirt), place them on top of the chocolate pudding.

Then add gummy worms into the dirt.

All finished and ready to eat!

My daughter loves to get her hands dirty and play in the mud.  What made me think that she would actually use a spoon to eat this treat???  Silly mom!
